Description
A vintage handmade utility patchwork quilt, constructed in a scrap-work style with irregular piecing. The quilt face is composed of a diverse assortment of mid-20th-century textile scraps, including printed cottons, synthetic knits, and heavier suiting fabrics such as tweed and plaid. Patterned elements include bold 1970s-style floral prints in vibrant oranges and reds, geometric chevrons in blue and brown tones, green and white stripes, and small-scale floral calicos. The patches are joined using machine zig-zag stitching. The quilt layers are secured with visible thread ties distributed across the body rather than traditional quilted topstitching. The reverse features a solid light turquoise synthetic blend fabric, finished with a matching binding.
