The blocks are separated by light blue sashing, and the entire central panel is framed by a wide light blue-grey border. The piece is finished with a purple binding and a solid navy blue fabric backing. Hand-quilting is visible throughout, executed in a simple running stitch that follows the structural lines of the houses and forms undulating wave patterns in the borders.
