MARTIAL PISTOL. Cal. 54. NSN. Standard configuration, 14", 8.5" barrel, proofs on left breech. "A. H. WATERS / MILBURY MASS / 1844" marked lock, captured ramrod assembly, national armory conversion to percussion as most late production model 1836s, 1844 was last year. CONDITION: good overall, complete & original, new nipple, metal is mottled gray/brown patina, pitting around breech from firing. Stock is sound, refinished, well fit, inspection cartouches "JH" & "WAT" are discernible. Mechanically fine, dirty smooth bore. PROVENANCE: Little John Auction, lot 298, 8-29-2006. (01-28087/JS).
