The silver plated metal vessel features a lobed bowl decorated with intricate repousse and chased grapevine motifs, including fruit clusters and vine leaves. The center is detailed with a stylized foliate cartouche and the piece is finished with a heavily textured scalloped rim. The basket is supported by a spreading pedestal base terminating in four scrolled, leaf-capped feet. A movable swing handle is fashioned in a twisted vine form with applied floral and leaf accents.
