Description
The Kalo Shop hand-hammered sterling silver bowl with a scalloped form is in the Arts and Crafts Style and is marked #18. It features a scalloped border with elegantly curved lobes. It has a gentle hammered texture and a rolled edge, a beautiful example of the style. Engraved on the underside: "MLF to RBU Jr. 24 September 1938." The Kalo Shop in Chicago was one of the premier silversmiths of the Arts and Crafts era in the US from its origin at the beginning of the century until 1970s.
