This is one of the most iconic set of Sevres Chateau des Tuileries , in french bleu decor with flying putties surrounding the beautiful LP monogram with the royal crown gilded , it stands for Louis Philippe that was king of France from 1830 to 1848 , the plates also present a very lovely flower gold garland . You will find on the back stamps showing Sevres and on in red mentioning Chateau des Tuileries and also a stamp with a date. Chateau des Tuileries was situated at the end of the Louvre facing place de la concorde , destroyed in 1871 . During the monarchy each castels used by the kings and emperor would have their own dinning sets often several used depending the occasions , it s why you will find on the back a stamp that mention the castel where it was used , when pieces would be missing they would be replace so it is not rare to find the same decor with a different date, but initials should always match the dates . size 9"
