This original WWI French Adrian helmet comes complete with its liner and chinstrap. The liner is present but is missing its drawstring. The helmet shows age-related wear consistent with service and period use, with a well-preserved overall configuration for display or collection.
The French Adrian helmet was introduced in 1915 during the First World War and became one of the earliest modern steel combat helmets issued in large numbers. Designed to provide improved protection against shrapnel and battlefield debris, it was widely used by French forces and allied troops throughout the conflict. Original examples with intact liners and chinstraps remain desirable among collectors of World War I militaria.
