This original WWII Japanese Navy steel helmet shell comes complete with its liner and chinstrap. The helmet is an original wartime shell that has been refinished with a modern paint application. The interior retains its liner system and chinstrap. The helmet shows normal age-related wear consistent with service use, along with its refurbished exterior finish.
The helmet features period-style detailing referencing historical cavalry operations and major battles, presented as part of its current display configuration. Japanese naval and military helmets from the Second World War were issued across various branches and units, with surviving examples today collected for their historical significance and wartime association. Original helmets with intact liner systems remain sought after among collectors of Pacific Theater militaria.
