Description
US Model 1850 Staff and Field Officers' Sword accompanied by its original leather scabbard, heavily utilized during the American Civil War. The sword is in battlefield relic condition, showing a century and a half of oxidation and severe storage wear. The brass D-guard and pommel have developed an attractive, deep untouched mustard-brown patina. The rayskin wrap is largely intact with typical shrinkage, and all twisted brass wire wraps remain tight and secure.
