Description
This collection features several vintage U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lensatic compasses, likely dating from World War II . Some models were manufactured by Superior Magneto Corp or W. & L. E. Gurley and often feature black finishes designed to reduce reflection and visibility to enemy snipers. Other compasses in the set appear to be different types, including a Verner's Pattern marching compass, often issued to officers.
