A pair of commemorative first day covers signed by notable architect and futurist Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983), signed throughout as "R. Buckminster Fuller". 2p, measuring 6.5" x 3.75", Chicago, IL, September 6, 1952; New York, NY, February 23, 1957. The first was produced to honor the founding of the American Society of Civil Engineers, while the second was similarly designed for the 100th anniversary of the American Institute of Architects. Exhibits varying degrees of expected toning and handling marks throughout. Light corner bumping to both. Else, very good with bold signatures.
