Description
American oak disc record cabinet showcases a beautiful quarter-sawn grain. This single-door cabinet opens to reveal a highly organized, dual-tiered interior explicitly configured for flat disc records, with both shelves divided into individual storage slots numbered 1 through 17. The upper record storage area is missing one wooden separator, while the lower tier remains fully intact. Affixed to the upper inside of the door is a wood-carved holder designed as a used phonograph needle cups receptacle. The door lock mechanism is present but currently detached from the inside of the door, and the key is missing. Objectively, the piece is unmolested but in need of a proper restoration, showing expected age-related wear including surface scratches, scuffs, minor chips to the veneer edges, and dust accumulation from storage; additionally, the rear panel is complete but slightly bowed and requires re-nailing to the back frame, which it should accept nicely. H 35.5", W 17", D 17". Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction.
