The Kindel & Graham "Fatima" mechanical cigarette dispenser is a highly coveted piece of vintage tobacciana that first hit the market in 1929. Patented in the late 1920s by San Francisco-based novelty peddlers Kindel & Graham, this Art Deco novelty device is hand-carved from solid wood. It features the stylized head of a fortune teller or "gypsy" mystic wearing a turban, embodying the "mystic" and exotic design trends popular in 1920s American pop culture. In overall VG original condition, retains original finish, cloth turban, jeweled star, earrings, and mechanically works. Measures 8" in diameter, 6.5" tall. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
