An early Edwin Meaders alkaline-glazed pitcher. This wood-fired example comes from an early period in Edwin’s pottery, when he produced very few utilitarian forms, as most of his work at the time focused on roosters and grape-decorated pieces. A strong and desirable early example with excellent character and surface. Signed and dated 7-7-1986.
