Description
The first vase, created by Seattle glass artist James Moody in 2005, is an exceptional piece that stands 11 ¼ inches tall, with a 6-inch width and depth.
Its elegant, bulbous body gently tapers into a narrow stem, subtly swelling just before connecting to the clear, round base. The neck of the vase narrows and then flares outward into a smooth, flat lip.
The rich cobalt blue background serves as the perfect backdrop for the bold, vibrant yellow and orange feathered pattern that adorns its surface.
In contrast, the second vase, also standing 11 ¼ inches tall, offers a more striking silhouette with an 8-inch width and 7-inch depth. Its body is made of a narrow, textured twisted swirled light blue glass, which widens to form a square base at the bottom.
At the top, the vase flares out into a collection of cobalt blue, curved, pointed, and crimped glass petal-like shapes, evoking the imagery of a blue iris flower, reminiscent of a Van Gogh painting.
Together, these two vases form a stunning contrast: one vibrant and energetic, the other delicate and serene. Despite their differences in texture, and form, they work beautifully together in a variety of interior design schemes.
