By contrast the 2nd vase, measuring 11¼ inches, presents a near-cylindrical profile gently cinched at the waist, topped with a slightly flared, smooth lip. Its exterior gleams in bold red glass, adorned with white polka dots with oval forms. The interior is cased with milky white glass.

Two vases, distinct in form and decoration, yet quietly complementary. One is tall and understated, its slender body marked by a simple oval pattern and a limited palette. The other stands shorter and fuller, its curves animated by a swirl of ribbon-like color, more vivid and expressive.
