This classic set of six American Country mahogany Chippendale chairs with ribbon backs feature a shaped and pierced with carved heart motif crest rail with two matching slats below. The trapezoidal seat frames are fitted with later rush seats, and the whole are supported by straight legs in the front and sweeping legs in the rear. Retains an old refinished surface. Probably New England. 19th century.
