This 11 1/2 inch tall hand-blown art glass vase, made in Romania by Vasile Tubi Vădan, is distinguished by three applied metallic elements that rise in fluid, ribbon-like arcs around the body. These elongated, looping forms attach at the shoulder and midsection, creating a rhythmic, almost serpentine movement that animates the vessel from every angle. Their warm, aged brass tone stands in striking contrast to the soft matte glass, while a gently textured patina enhances the vintage character and gives the piece a confident mixed-media presence.

The form itself is a softly tapered cylinder with a sculpted, ringed neck and a wide, mushroom-like flared rim. Its satin-frosted surface diffuses light into a velvety, alabaster glow. Subtle pink spiral bands wind diagonally beneath the matte finish, introducing quiet motion and depth, echoed by a faint blush edge along the flattened lip.

Viewed from the reverse, the metalwork reads as structural, cradling the upper body and creating compelling negative space that strengthens the vase's architectural silhouette. The metal detailing was achieved through electroforming, a process in which metal is grown directly onto the glass using an electrical bath. This technique forms a seamless, solid layer without solder, resulting in organic sculptural edges and a durable bond that makes the metal appear naturally fused to the glass.
