This stunning 10-inch vintage Japanese porcelain Buddha features the intricate "Moriage" technique, characterized by raised, bead-like enamel detailing and heavy gold gilding. The figure is depicted in a meditative seated position, adorned in traditional robes decorated with vibrant floral patterns and geometric motifs.

The craftsmanship is exemplary, with a serene facial expression and a classic textured snail-hair ushnisha. A circular golden halo (mandorla) is attached to the reverse. While there are no visible makerÂ’s marks on the unglazed base, the weight and finish indicate high-quality ceramic construction characteristic of the mid-20th-century Satsuma export style.
