This antique cast iron garden urn, attributed to the renowned J.W. Fiske Iron Works, dates to approximately 1890. Crafted from robust cast iron, the urn features a classic Neoclassical-inspired design. It presents a fluted bowl supported by an ornate mid-section adorned with relief decoration. Acanthus scrolled handles with floral accents flank the bowl, rising from a sturdy pedestal base. The urn rests on a square plinth, also detailed with subtle scrollwork. This piece exemplifies the quality and aesthetic of American Victorian-era garden ornamentation. While unsigned, its design characteristics are consistent with items produced by Fiske.
