This is a sketchbook portrait of a man drawn and colored by Romanian-born artist Dimitrie Berea in 1964. In this post-impressionist drawing, Berea presents a detailed drawing of a man's face in ink and then has colored a partial background using vivid green and orangeish-red markers. Based on the date accompanying Berea's signature, this portrait was likely prepared during Berea's time in the United States.
