Description
(1882-1943) Benedictine Chaplain who served as the Chaplain of Fort Knox during World War I and with the U.S. Armed Forces in Northern Africa (ETO) during World War II, where he was killed in action. Fine World War I-era I.S.P. in uniform, 6 x 9 in. [sight], boldly inscribed and signed on the mount: ‘Florence May God Bless You Regis L. Barrett O.S.B. Chaplain U.S. Army’. Set into a period hinged standing frame measuring 11 x 9 in. approx. Frame exhibits wear and chipping, else very good. Not examined out of frame.
