Description
German Catholic priest. An anti-Semite and proponent of Nazism, he received a silver medal from Hitler at a 1939 Nuremberg rally and authored tracts such as ‘The Jewish Question from the Standpoint of the Church’ and ‘My German Struggles and Development’, purportedly written for Rudolf Hess. Haeuser did nothing to hide his virulent anti-Semitism and support of Hitler, writing lines such as ‘The Jew has bound almost all nations and governments to slavish obedience’ and arguing the Hitler was finishing the job ‘against the paragraphs of the synagogue’ that Christ was unable to do. Rare S.P. 3.5 x 5.5 in. b/w, a real-photo postcard showing Haeuser in robe, boldly signed on verso. Fine condition.
