A leather sling for the MG34 split leather carrying strap, 35.25 in long x 1 in. wide, constructed of two matching straps attached together including a padded middle section, and being sewn together at the ends with attachment to the metal hardware. This example showing a period replacement in place of the original front buckle, which was also a hook/clip and the original narrow rear buckle indicating production from between 1936 and 1943 and for use exclusively for the MG34, the MG42 attachment point being too wide for this 'narrow' buckle strap. There are two marks visible on the leather nearest the rear buckle, but they are quite worn. Lightly oiled and soiled with some scratches, otherwise near fine and very strong and pliable.
