A small 12.25 x 4.75 in. (at the head) US Army Air Force fighter bomber survival axe with a rubber handle and a large hole in the center of the head with a modification removing the spike. The handle has the serial number ‘42D 8331’ and a winged ‘A’ logo nearest the axe head. It is accompanied by the original blue tanned sheath. Fine.
