Wizard of Oz cast autographed 10 x 8” black-and-white photograph depicting Judy Garland as Dorothy alongside Ray Bolger as the Scarecrow and Jack Haley as the Tin Man in a memorable scene from the beloved 1939 MGM classic “The Wizard of Oz.” The photograph has been signed by five performers associated with the film including Karl Slover, Ruth Robinson Duccini, Jerry Maren, Margaret Pellegrini, and Clarence Swensen. Several inscriptions reference their roles as Munchkins from the Land of Oz.

“The Wizard of Oz” remains one of the most celebrated films in cinematic history, premiering in 1939 and becoming an enduring cultural phenomenon for generations of audiences. The film’s Munchkin performers became legendary among collectors and fans, with surviving cast members frequently appearing at conventions and autograph signings throughout the late twentieth century. Signatures from multiple Munchkin actors on a single display photograph have become increasingly difficult to assemble as the surviving cast dwindled over the decades.

Karl Slover (1918–2011) was one of the most recognizable Munchkin performers from the film and later became a fan-favorite ambassador for the legacy of “The Wizard of Oz.” Jerry Maren (1920–2018) was among the last surviving adult Munchkins and remained deeply connected to the film’s fandom for decades. Margaret Pellegrini (1923–2013) portrayed a Sleepyhead Munchkin and appeared in several memorable scenes in Munchkinland. Ruth Robinson Duccini (1918–2014) was one of the final surviving female Munchkin performers from the production. Clarence Swensen (1917–2006) also appeared as a Munchkin villager and remained active within Oz fan circles later in life.
