Publisher’s proof print of the classic comic strip Wizard of Id by Brant Parker and Johnny Hart, measuring approximately 18.75 x 15 inches. The print reproduces a humorous Wizard of Id Sunday strip centered around the Fourth of July holiday and is inscribed in black ink by Brant Parker at the lower margin, “Best Wishes, Parker.” The lower right margin is additionally annotated “Publisher Proof.” Published in 1992 by Stabur Graphics for the International Museum of Cartoon Art.

Created by Brant Parker and Johnny Hart in 1964, Wizard of Id became one of the most successful newspaper comic strips of the twentieth century. Set in a whimsical medieval kingdom, the strip combined political satire with timeless humor and was syndicated in hundreds of newspapers worldwide.
