STS-37 crew signed commemorative cover relating to the launch and deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field/Planetary Camera. The cover bears a Pasadena, California, April 24, 1990 postmark and is signed by all five members of the STS-37 crew: Commander Steven R. Nagel, Pilot Kenneth D. Cameron, and Mission Specialists Jerry L. Ross, Jay Apt, and Linda M. Godwin. The signatures appear prominently on the front of the cover in both black and blue ink.
The cachet features an illustration of the Wide Field/Planetary Camera, one of the principal scientific instruments carried aboard the Hubble Space Telescope.
