Thomas W. Ferebee (1918-2000) served as the bombardier aboard the Enola Gay during the historic mission over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Responsible for the precise release of the Little Boy atomic bomb, Ferebee played a pivotal role in one of the most consequential missions in military history. He later completed a distinguished Air Force career, retiring as a colonel after more than 30 years of service. His authentic signature remains one of the most sought-after among members of the Enola Gay crew.
