Personal congressional Rolodex belonging to former U.S. Representative Leo C. Zeferetti of New York, containing hundreds of official House and Senate contact cards for members of Congress from the mid-1990s. Housed in its original Rolodex case with an engraved nameplate reading “Leo C. Zeferetti” and a gold Congressional seal mounted to the lid.

The Rolodex contains specialized reference cards listing office locations, telephone and fax numbers, committee assignments, staff members, district office information, and portraits of senators and representatives. Notable individuals represented include John Glenn, Ted Kennedy, John McCain, Strom Thurmond, John Lewis, Bob Dole, Newt Gingrich, Nancy Pelosi, and John Boehner, among many others. Several cards bear period handwritten annotations, reflecting continued use and updates by Zeferetti.

In overall very good to fine condition with expected handling wear from use. The Rolodex retains its original index dividers, engraved nameplate, and Congressional seal.

Leo C. Zeferetti (1927-2018) was an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 15th Congressional District from 1975 to 1983. A Democrat representing parts of Brooklyn, he served four terms in the House of Representatives before returning to public affairs and political consulting. Although he left Congress more than a decade before these reference cards were produced, the annotations and organization of the Rolodex indicate he remained active in political circles and maintained contact information for numerous current members of Congress.
