Complete four-page newspaper published during the administration of President John Adams at the height of the Quasi-War tensions between the United States and France. The front page features an extensive political essay criticizing the policies of Revolutionary France and defending the actions of the Federalist government, reflecting the growing partisan divide of the late eighteenth century. Inside are reports from Congress, domestic and foreign news, military dispatches, official government notices, Treasury Department announcements, advertisements, and literary selections, with the final page devoted to essays, poetry, and miscellaneous articles.

Good condition. Folded as issued with expected age toning, scattered foxing, edge wear, and a few small chips and short tears along the margins. Complete and well preserved.
