Complete illustrated newspaper featuring the full-page front cover engraving “Choosing the Wedding Gown,” after a painting by Charles Green McLeod, depicting a bride-to-be selecting her wedding dress while accompanied by family members in a shop. The issue also contains additional news, articles, and engravings from the Reconstruction era, including coverage of the Pope’s visit to the Empress Carlotta and the evacuation of Daly.

Good to very good condition. Light overall toning with scattered edge wear, small chips, and short tears along the margins, consistent with age and handling.
