Robert L. Scott Jr. autographed flight-flown cover documenting carriage aboard an F-15 aircraft. The cover is completed in manuscript with the flight details, including Flight Number One, F-15 aircraft serial no. 85-130, January 12, 1990, a two-hour flight, pilot Major John Turk, and the notation “Mach 2-”. Scott has signed the certification in black ink as Brigadier General, U.S. Air Force.

Robert L. Scott Jr. (1928-2006) was a U.S. Air Force officer and test pilot who flew more than 6,000 hours in over 100 different aircraft during his military career. He served as commander of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base and later as commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center. Scott played a significant role in the development and testing of numerous military aircraft before retiring as a brigadier general.
