The 8.5 x 11” mimeographed flyer bears the bold headlines, “NO RIGHTS FOR RACISTS” and “STOP SHOCKLEY NOW!” and announces a protest at Loeb Student Center. The two-page leaflet condemns Shockley’s promotion of theories alleging the genetic inferiority of Black people, compares his views to Nazi racial ideology, and argues that such ideas served to justify discrimination and inequality. The reverse addresses the question of free speech, explaining the Attica Brigade’s position that organized resistance to racist ideology outweighed the protection of a platform for its dissemination. The piece concludes with the slogan, “MAN IS MAN - IT’S NOT DEBATABLE.”
