Emory Douglas (born 1943) served as the Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party and was responsible for many of the movement's most recognizable graphic images. Through his bold visual style, Douglas created posters, illustrations, and newspaper artwork that became central to the Party's messaging during the late 1960s and 1970s, addressing themes of racial justice, self-determination, education, and community activism.
