Complete illustrated newspaper featuring a full front-page engraving titled “The Army Forge.” The illustration depicts blacksmiths at work in a mobile field forge repairing horseshoes, wagon hardware, and other essential military equipment for the Union Army during the opening months of the Civil War. The issue contains additional Civil War reports, articles, and engravings.
Very good condition. Light overall toning with scattered foxing, minor edge wear, and occasional small chips consistent with age and handling.
