Complete illustrated newspaper featuring a full front-page engraving of Union Major General Winfield Scott Hancock titled, “Army of the Potomac - Major-General Winfield Scott Hancock.” Published during Ulysses S. Grant’s Overland Campaign, the issue appeared shortly after Hancock’s leadership at the Battle of the Wilderness and just days before the Battle of Cold Harbor. The issue contains additional Civil War reports, articles, and engravings.

Very good condition. Light overall toning with scattered foxing, minor edge wear, and occasional small chips consistent with age and handling.
