Description
Antique vertical hot air (Stirling) engine with cast iron base, flywheel, and exposed crank mechanism. Similar to educational and demonstration engines produced by Carette, Heinrici, or other German manufacturers around 1900. Powered by an alcohol or spirit burner, these engines were used for scientific demonstrations and light mechanical work such as small pumps. Untested and sold in as-found condition with age-related wear.
