A collection of graduated oval bentwood nesting pantry boxes executed in the Shaker style. Each box is constructed with characteristic swallowtail or finger-joint laps secured by copper tacks. The collection features a variety of finishes, including painted shades of blue-gray, sage green, and oxide red, as well as natural and mustard-toned wood stains. One lid of a tan-stained box features a prominent circular yellow painted accent to the center. The boxes exhibit typical bentwood construction with flat-fitted lids and bottoms. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items. The design and construction are consistent with the Mount Lebanon style and resemble work by contemporary makers such as J.
