Vintage General Dynamics poster designed by Erik Nitsche, one of the most influential modernist graphic designers of the mid-20th century. Titled "Exploring the Universe - Worlds Without End", the design features a dramatic abstract rendering of a black hole-like void surrounded by a luminous halo, with swirling textures suggesting cosmic motion and gravitational pull. Lithographic printing on paper, rolled, not linen backed, overall approx. 35-1/2" x 50-1/4". Printed in Switzerland. Published by R. Marsens. Retains strong color with light edge and corner wear along with light surface creases, and some creasing along the lower left edge. A classic example from Nitsche?s highly collectible 1950s-60s series, sought after by both design and science collectors.
