This M39 Mosin rifle was made by Sako in Finland in 1942. It features a 28" barrel with a guarded blade front sight and adjustable aperture rear sight. The import mark is on the right side of the barrel behind the front sight and reads "M39 Finland 7.62x54R, CAI, St Alb, VT.". The stock is fitted with bottom and left side sling swivels with a leather sling fitted on the left side. The hex receiver is marked with the Sako "S" stamp, 1942 production date, and "SA" stamp on the left side. Bolt and receiver have matching serial numbers. Stock shows honest wear with a 2" scratch or crack on the left of the stock and the Sako stamp on the right side. Bore is shiny with visible rifling. LOP: 13 3/4". CALIBER/GA: 7.62x54R. S/N: 222731.
