Manufactured by Marlin Firearms Corp circa 1930's. This rifle features a 24" blued octagon barrel with rear buckhorn sight and dovetailed blade front with brass bead. Also has a tang mounted folding peep sight. Top barrel flat is stamped "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CORPORATION / NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.-PATENTED". Rear left side of barrel is stamped "22 S-L &L.R". Full length magazine tube holds up to 25 rounds of .22 Short, 20 Long and 18 in LR. Takedown receiver, lever action with side ejection. Top tang shows the star inspection stamp. Fitted with a walnut pistol grip stock and matching forearm with blued forend cap. The iconic Marlin bullseye inlaid on the bottom of the stock. Capped with a factory hard rubber butt plate. Condition
GOOD - Finish has turned to a gray patina. Wood shows a few small dings most notably on the bottom of the forearm. Frosted bore with visible rifling. Good mechanics.
