This model 1885 rifle was made by Winchester in 1890 and is chambered in .22 Short. It features a 24" Octagon barrel with a dovetail blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight. Barrel is marked with the 2 line address and ".22 Short". The patent date is visible behind the trigger on the lower tang. The rifle is fitted with a walnut forend and stock with steel butt plate. There is a crack in on the right side of the wrist and it has repaired with a flush fitting screw, and a crack on the left side behind the lower tang. LOP: 13". CALIBER/GA: .22 Short. S/N: 42417.
