This model 1873 lever action rifle was made by Winchester Repeating Arms Co circa 1879. It features a 24" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube, an inverted V front sight and a flat top rear sight with elevator. On top of the barrel is the 2 line address that reads "Winchester Repeating Arms Co, New Haven Conn, King's-Improvement-Patented March 29, 1866, October 1860". It has a hardwood forend and rear stock with storage compartment behind the metal buttplate. The receiver features a side loading gate and upper dust cover with "Model 1873" on the upper tang. Condition
POOR - Stock has 8" crack on right side. all metal is heavily oxidized and pitted. Mechanics function, but sluggish due to oxidation.
