Description
This shingle shot carbine was made by Sharps & Hankins in Philadelphia, PA circa 1862-1865. The Navy type model features a 24" round barrel with missing front sight blade and adjustable rear sight. The rear of the barrel has a screw on each side that would have fastened a leather cover for protection. The trigger guard opens the breach sliding the barrel forward, but will not lock in place when closed. The walnut stock is capped off with a brass butt plate. LOP: 14". CALIBER/GA: .52 Rimfire. S/N: n/a. FFL STATUS: Antique.

POOR - Metal is pitted with oxidation and trigger and other parts are missing.
