This brick is from the house and birthplace of Confederate General William Mahone. The brick was removed from the house during the renovation of the home in 2015. A short bio and witness signatures are included with the brick. William Mahone served as a Virginia Senator and as a US Senator. He was also a General in the Confederate Army and was present at the Battle of the Crater during the Siege of Petersburg, VA.
