"Alix" signature is above the left shoulder of the Chief along with his quote bottom opposite "THE EATH IS THE MOTHER of ALL PEOPLE, AND ALL PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS UPON IT - HINMA-TOOYA-LATKEKT / CHIEF JOSEPH, NEZ PERCE / 1840-1904".
