This unique carbine was made by Gwyn & Campbell in Hamilton, OH. It is a breech loading percussion carbine in .52 caliber. It features a 20" round/octagon barrel with blade front sight. The frame is faintly marked "Union Rifle" and lockplate "Gwyn & Campbell, Patent 1862, Hamilton, O.". Wood stock is fitted with steel butt plate. LOP: 13 1/2". CALIBER/GA: .52 Cal. S/N: n/a.
