Mide in Italy by F. Lli Pietta, this Smith Cavalry Carbine features a breech loading percussion action. It is fitted with a blade style front sight with 21 1/2" barrel and a flip up adjustable rear sight. The action still shows some of the case coloring and the saddle ring on the left side. Barrel and receiver show import markings and "F. LLI. PIETTA Cat. 6992-Cal 50". The receiver features the address lines of Massachusetts Arms Co, Poultney and Trimble, and Smith's Patent, recreating the original look of Smith Carbines. Stock is fitted with a steel buttplate.
