This bayonet was made in Germany and fits to the Gewehr Model 1898 rifle. The bayonet has a 14 1/2" blade and measures 19 3/4" overall. It features a wooden grip and metal pommel with push button release that does not function. The base of the blade reads "Gottlieb Hammespahr Solongen, Foche" with pyramid logo marking. The back of the blade is marked with a crown cartouche with "W6" and crown C cartouche. Included with this bayonet is a leather and metal scabbard and leather frog.

Condition
GOOD - Blade has light oxidation and scratches from wear. The handle has oxidation and pitting and the wood shows honest wear.
